Joining the Trick Family

There are a few levels of endorsement at Trick Drums and here is a breakdown of what they are.

Fully Endorsed

These artists play Trick Drum Sets.  These artists have full access to drums as well as pedals and any other products Trick produces.  Often these artists will play both the drums and the pedals.

Pro Players

These artists endorse the Pro 1-V line of pedals.  This includes the standard Pro 1-V “Short Board” as well as the Pro 1-V “Bigfoot” pedals.

Dominators

These artists appropriately endorse the Dominator pedal line.  This is the youngest in the line of Trick gear and hence has the fewest endorsing artists.

Factory Test Pilots

FTP artists have access to the full line of gear but have different artist pricing terms.

Sponsored Artists

SPA artists have a unique opportunity with Trick that, in most cases, would not be available to artists in other companies.  This is a NO CONTRACT endorsement and pretty much is a relationship Trick will extend to artists that have not quite reached a PRO level in their field.  This does not necessarily mean every beginner drummer, we do evaluate every artist for eligibility, but some very talented artists sometimes have nothing going on but still need access to the proper tools to progress their careers.  This allows you to get your foot in the door and promote Trick and show us what you are made of.

How does an endorsement work?

If you follow these simple steps you can become a Trick Endorsed Artist!

1. Purchase a Trick Product
2. Learn about the company and the products
3. Put a GREAT press kit together – Include the following:
   • Pictures
   • Bios
   • Music
   • Video
   • Tour dates and Itineraries (Past, Present, Future)
   • Gear currently played
   • Press clips
   • Tour bills (Posters including other bands played with)
4. Send the press kit to:
   • Trick Drums
   • c/o A&R
   • 17 E University Dr
   • Arlington Heights, IL. 60004
5. Make sure to save multiple copies of the press kit, it will likely be needed for every company you solicit for endorsements
6. Wait

Trick actually checks out EVERY press kit we get.  This means every artist has a chance but this also means it takes a while for us to go through the kits.  If you are not contacted it is not because we do not like you…we do not have the man power to reply to every request.  We generally reply if we are interested in working with the artist.

All facts are checked (Tour dates, press, etc) and we are very thorough so be honest.  If you have purchased already and have gone directly through Trick then we will already know your name and it will give you an edge.

Right now we are looking for artists that have large exposure and are working a lot.  Due to the Factory Test Pilot program, however, we have the ability to work with up and comers as well.

In the event that we choose not to “Endorse” the artist we will extend the artist pricing as a ONE TIME professional courtesy provided that all above steps were taken.  This purchase will also keep you very visible and could help you land that endorsement at a later date!
